March 30 (Friday) : South Channel Fort - dolphin tour

(This was cancelled last year due to bad weather). Lambles Coach to Sorrento, then board the Moonraker to view the dolphins. Lunch included. Cost: $57.

 

April 18 (Wed) : Peppermint Ridge Eco Farm at Tynong North

This fascinating farm was recently featured on "Vasily's Garden" on Channel 31. Learn about growing and eating native/indigenous bush tucker for South Eastern Australia. Lunch included. We will car pool.

Cost: $35 which includes a tour, talk and lunch made from the farm's own produce.

 

Feb/March: The Picasso Exhibition in Sydney

Past Tours

November 22 French Island overnight stay

Talk about a tour with a difference!  It was like a time capsule trip back to the 1970's - starting with the bus that picked us up - driven by the most extraordinary bus driver/guide you could hope to see. Then there was the accommodation at the (former) Macleod Prison Farm, great walks along the nearby beach, the ancient car fleet (unregistered). What a hoot!

 

September 16 MINI TOUR : Friday 16th: Australia Post

Mail Centre Dandenong. FREE! Also, possibly visit Dandenong Market afterwards. Car pool from the OCH.

This promises to be an interesting trip. You might find out what happened to that birthday card that never turned up in 1955.

 

October 5 Wednesday 5th: Geelong

As part of Senior's Week, we're going to Geelong. Travel is FREE. Train from Upper FTG at 8.39 a.m., Ringwood 8.54 a.m., or Croydon 8.29 a.m.
Change at Southern Cross station to a VLine train to Geelong.

 

We have a guided tour of the Ford Motor Museum booked at 11.30 a.m. which will cost $5.50.

 

Following lunch, the Geelong Art Gallery which has a collection of over 5,000 works, has been booked for the afternoon.
